Care & Support

Our Home Care Community

As we transition Freedom Launceston, the future for this village will offer 24-hour personalised care and support for our residents. Our 24/7 aged care team, will tailor their care to the needs of our residents.

Freedom Aged Care's ethos is based on encouraging and supporting our residents through a personal understanding of their needs, difficulties and challenges and developing procedures for clinical care based on evidence and best practices.

The care and support we will provide at Freedom Launceston changes and evolves with you through every stage of the ageing journey, meaning you should never have to move again.

The difference in care that we offer starts before you even move in, with No Means Testing or ACAT required prior to moving into your Freedom Home, the whole process is made as easy as possible for our residents.

Freedom Amenities & Lifestyle

It’s all about lifestyle. (And living every day to the full!)

Everyone has their own unique reasons for choosing a home in a retirement community such as Freedom Launceston. Some choose it for the opportunity to be free of the burden of maintenance and gardens; others see the value in the companionship and friendship that comes through activities and belonging to a community; nearly everyone agrees that it is the sense of lifestyle and security being amongst like-minded people; and family will tell you that it’s the peace of mind knowing support is only a call away.

We encourage our residents to benefit from the huge variety of daily activities available to make them feel more at home in our community. With 24 villas, 4 units and 30 apartments, there’s always someone to enjoy a drink with at our regular happy hours and other organised events. All villas and units are designed to give full independence in two and three bedroom floor plans with modern styling and fittings.

Our residents enjoy doing the activities they love:

  • Working together and maintaining the beautiful community garden
  • Sharing tools, learning new skills or keeping old ones honed in the Men’s Shed
  • Relaxing in the common area with manicured gardens
  • Teaming up for a game of indoor bowls
  • Joining in a card game
